The Joy of Mixing Prints

Hello All

This is another old post coming to you all from over 2 months ago. I had the opportunity of being one of the designers at the IUPUI ASA fashion show and a post on the pieces I made will be coming up soon. Until then here is what I wore for the event. I made my outfit the night before the event. It took about 4 hours from 11pm to 3am. I know my timing was probably not ideal but I tend to work best under pressure (sometimes). I didn't want to just sew a simple peplum off shoulder outfit so I decided to mix two different prints. Some people thought the mix of prints was too much but overall everyone seemed to have loved my outfit.

Snow Day

Hello everyone!

This winter seems like it is never going to end and I am honestly tired of the snow. Walking to class is terrible and the ice on the ground makes it a challenge. Luckily, we got a snow day due to the infinite amount of snow that fell. My roommate suggested a photo shoot and after hours of trying to find an outfit(lol), here is what I got:

Dare To Be Different

I hope you all had a wonderful christmas and are excited for the New Year! I have always loved big hair and usually make sure that during holidays my hair is very big. This holiday was no exception, but this time I decided to go blonde. It was a big risk for me because my hair has never completely been a different color. I took the leap of faith and after a couple of days I fell in love with my hair color. Yes, it took me a little bit of time to actually begin to like the color but I am now a believer. What do you all think?

Hey people!!!

Recently my mom wore a gorgeous african print outfit that I fell in love with. Naturally, I wanted to wear it as soon as possible. Luckily for me, a friend of mine was having a baby dedication and we all decided to wear african print for the event. I tweaked the outfit a little bit by adding different accessories to it. I think it is safe to say that both my mom and I rocked the outfit in our own unique ways.
