Hey people!!!

Recently my mom wore a gorgeous african print outfit that I fell in love with. Naturally, I wanted to wear it as soon as possible. Luckily for me, a friend of mine was having a baby dedication and we all decided to wear african print for the event. I tweaked the outfit a little bit by adding different accessories to it. I think it is safe to say that both my mom and I rocked the outfit in our own unique ways.

GI Jane. Breakfast Club. Homecoming

Hello Everyone!!!
It has been a while since I put up a post and I just wanted to share a few pictures from homecoming weekend at Purdue. At Purdue, we have a breakfast club tradition where we dress up in halloween costumes and go to the bars really early in the morning on game day. For those of you who know me, I am definitely not a drinker so I had never been to breakfast club before now. Being my last year on campus I decided to attend the festivities and cross breakfast club off my bucket list. It was a really last minute decision and all I found at the store was a camouflage jumpsuit. Hence, my GI Jane costume.

After breakfast club, we went to the homecoming game; which we lost badly :( I could not figure out what to wear so I whipped out a big t-shirt and cut it up into something acceptable. The results were great and I was able to go to the game in style.

By this time I was so stressed about the game, I accidentally wiped off one of my "war" marks!!!

All in all I had a great time!!!!

From Scrap Fabric to a Beautiful Mixed Print Outfit

Summer is officially over for me :(. Fortunately, I accomplished a lot this summer; including making the outfit in this post. This outfit was made from scraps of fabric I found at home and the shoes were thrifted. I wore this to a birthday party and then a wedding later in the day. I hope you all enjoy my work and good luck this school year.

The best things in life are awesome deals

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great week. I recently went thrift shopping, found this gorgeous purse, and instantly fell in LOVE. I love thrift shopping because I always find great deals and unique items. It seems to me that when I find a great deal, it makes me fall in love with the item even more.  I am still trying to figure why that is, but until then enjoy my purse!

All black with a hint of ankara

Hey everyone!!!

Most people close to me know that I make ankara(african print) earrings, hair bows, bow ties, purses and shoes. I decided to rock some of my work for church today with a dress I got from jcpenny. Enjoy!!!
